Although Matt's love of music started at an early age, his career officially started while he was living in Tennesee.
His close friend Bill Hubbard of ReverbNation thought he was wasting his talent.
Matt and Bill started singing together in their livingrooms. This progressed to doing small performances together that eventually led to them performing together live at Dollywood.
After being gone for four years, Matt's love of Montana brought him back to the Big Sky state. He left Tennesee, but he didn't leave his love for the music.
When he returned to where his heart was, Matt began playing again with his buddy Troy Patton. He went back to his roots by playing in the livingroom and around the campfire.
Matt once again started doing small performances with his buddy and open mic nights.
Soon after, he was invited to try out for the band Shodown. When the band asked him to be their new lead singer, he was not only shocked, but humbled and ecstatic all at the same time!
The dream of playing in a band has now been marked off Matt's bucket list!
He is having the time of his life playing with the band and continues to enjoy time with his beautiful wife Thersa and their three boys.
In his spare time, Matt loves to fly fish, work in the yard, build his custom made wood furniture and spend time with his family.
