Dan F. Neuman • Fiddle, Guitar, Lap Steel, Mandolin, Vocals: I started at 8. It was a tender age to enter the world of fast cars and country music, but I managed to get by. At 10, I was in rehab. At 12, I recorded my first single. At 15, I was in rehab. At 17, I straightened up and went to college. At 22, I was in rehab. At 26 I don't remember what happened. At 30 I quit my job and decided to freelance. At 33, I was in rehab. Currently, I am between rehabs.
Ted Zanto • Drums & Percussion: I am a product of the 80's. Quiet Riot sang me to sleep, I woke up to Cindy Lauper. I wear shorts at every gig regardless of the temperature or the type of function. I like to talk. A lot. I am always late. But, I keep good tempo and am a good father to my 7 children (only 3 wives). I am from Belt, MT and subsequently related to half the State of Montana.
Jeff Daniel • Accoustic Guitar & Vocals: If Hill-Billy's had a "Hall of Fame", I would be in it. My Great uncle Jack made whiskey in Tennessee. I grew up in Kentucky using old refrigerators as fish smokers. I have played and sung on front porches all over the South and in several locations in Iraq. I still carry a gun and say Y'all.
Greg Sanders • Bass Guitar: Vocals I was born on the North side. I went to school on the East side. I live on the West side. I have partied on the South side. The upside to all this is that I have been around Missoula my entire life. The downside is... I don't remember what the downside is. I remember that I don't remember a lot about being born... and I think at one time, I was into disco but that's all over now.

THE BAND:

"This is a band that makes you want to get up and dance!"

High energy, entertaining and fun to experience. When you see one of our performances, you become a part of it. It's our philosophy... that it's not our show, but your show.

From humble beginnings, Sho-down has matured into a band with a diverse play list and a style that is akin to putting a whole bunch of things in the blender, and actually ending up with something that tastes real good. Our roots reach into bluegrass, western swing, traditional country, contemporary country, 70's and 80's rock and roll, Cajun and folk music. Wow, makes your head kind of spin doesn't it. But somehow it all works it's way into a sound that is unique and pleasing. Vocals are the heart of our music.

Most arrangements feature 3 part harmony and intricate background vocal layering that make it sound as if there are more than 4 people on stage. But alas... there are only 4 of us. Ted, Dan, Jeff and Greg.

As Sho Down, we have played large venue concerts with; Blake Shelton, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Mark Wills, David Kirsch, Chad Brock, Darryl Singletary and Rhett Atkins to name a few. We recently performed in Lima Peru as a benefit for the Hogar de la San Francisco, a children's hospital and shelter.

We continue to perform throughout Western Montana (see our schedule) for a variety of public and private functions. We also have a close working relationship with Craig & Al, the morning DJs for KYSS radio in Missoula, MT and with Scoot and Paula at 93.3 The Eagle. We have performed live on the Craig & Al show as well as recording 4 songs for their 2005 KYSSmas for kids project. A project to give needy children a Christmas they otherwise normally wouldn't enjoy.

If there were a warning label on our band it would be this: "CAUTION: This band does not use set lists!" Crazy... I know, but this gives us the flexibility of tailoring our performance to the crowd that is watching us. Remember... it's your show not ours. If you want to hear a song or artist or genre, simply ask and even at the risk of a colossal train wreck, we will play your request if anyone in the band knows most of it.

There you have it... this is our band Sho Down. We hope to see you at one of our performances and we hope we can get you up to dance on the bar because... that's the kind of guys we are.
